The first three of Irvin John's children were born at Baldwinsville, N.Y., where he conducted in partnership with a Mr. Mason a jewelry store and drug store, as shown in this item from the Baldwinsville Gazette, issue of Nov. 24, 1887. "I.J.Molby has a new jeweller's desk of tasty make and convenient form, in the watch repairing department at Mason & MOLBY's store."

Between the birth of his third and his fourth child, the family removed to Greenleaf, Kansas. It will be noted that the third child was named for his Business partner at Baldwinsville. "I. J. Molby Sells Watches." This advertisement was familiarly seen in the countryside about Greenleaf, Kansas. I.J. Molby followed the jewelry business also in Colorado, in Nebraska, and finally at Creston, Iowa, where he died. His mother, Clarissa, seemed to have made her home with him and his family, for the most part, after their removal to Kansas.

Attention is again called to the 1855 Van Buren, N.Y. Census
Report found under VI.1065. John Molby.
